Dear East Rochester Chamber member or friend:
We are hard at work planning our two major 2018 philanthropic events – CleanSweep and the Karknocker 5K Run/Walk.
This year’s CleanSweep is planned for the morning of Saturday, May 19. Small teams of volunteers will clean up 20 designated areas throughout the Town/Village, including all four parks. We will again provide coffee and treats before we head out, and the event will wrap up around noon with Crust Pizza defending their title against Surace's of Leo's Bakery and Salvatore's in our community pizza contest. All volunteers (who must be at least 10 years old or have completed fourth grade) will receive a CleanSweep t-shirt to keep. Thank you in advance to everyone who joins us to help CleanSweep our beautiful little village!
The 21st-Annual Karknocker 5K Run/Walk is set for 9 am Saturday, July 28. The flat course through the Town/Village starts and ends at the East Rochester school campus, which will be hosting the ERFD carnival. Runners receive a t-shirt and participation medal, and proceeds will continue to benefit the Finger Lakes Regional Burn Association.
Your support of these two events is vital to their – and the Chamber's – success. You can participate in the following ways:
Sponsorship – $125 for one event for $200 for both. Your logo will appear on the commemorative t-shirts and various promotional materials. If you'd like to be a sponsor, please click on the 'invoice' link below, fill it out, and return it to us by Monday, April 2.
Volunteers – We'd love to have you and your staff, family, and friends help out with CleanSweep and/or the Karknocker. Both are fun events that won't take a lot of time! If you'd like to participate in either or both, please click on the 'invoice' link below to print out the form. Or… on our homepage, go to the CleanSweep or Karknocker page under the 'calendar & upcoming events' tab to fill out and submit the online form.
Also, the ER Parks Committee will again be collecting scrap metal at CleanSweep. This project helps maintain and replace the trees in our parks. Please consider donating any scrap metal you have to this worthy cause!
More information about both events is on our Website, under the 'calendar & upcoming events' tab. If you have any questions, please contact me or our Communications Director, Doreen DiNardo, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
On behalf of the Chamber Board, I sincerely thank you for your participation and support of our community!
Martin G. D’Ambrose
President, East Rochester Chamber of Commerce

We also offer hosting/sponsorship opportunities for weekday networking events: morning Coffee Hours and evening Mixers. What refreshments you choose to provide is entirely up to you. We encourage you to arrange for an interesting, appropriate speaker or topic that would be beneficial to our members. If you would like to sponsor an informational coffee hour (7:30-9 am) or evening mixer (5-7 pm), just email email@example.com with your preferred date, and we'll go from there. Thank you!
